This century-old restaurant, founded in 1876, is the most famous roast suckling pig restaurant in the ancient city. It is famous in Spain for its unique secret recipe and delicious taste. The restaurant is next to the ancient Roman viaduct.

The food was mediocre at best. Our group consisted of 10 people, 8 of whom ordered the set menu, which included a starter, main course, a glass of wine, a glass of water, and dessert. Two people ordered à la carte. One of them asked for a single glass of wine. To our surprise, the bill included the cost of a whole bottle of wine, even though only one glass had been ordered. When we asked the waiter about it, we were told that a second bottle had been opened, so it was added to the bill. We believe that if guests are being charged for a full bottle, it should be left on the table—which it wasn’t.We were also told that we weren’t charged for water, even though a glass of water was clearly part of the set menu. The main dish—suckling pig—was served without any sides. I was served a portion with ribs, which had barely any meat on it.Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit to this place.

We did not know what to expect from reading the reviews and we were pleasantly surprised. Both pork and ponche were excellent. The pork came a bit chill, but they just warmed it again and we enjoyed it a lot. Our compliments to the friendly staff.

When the food is prepared by an expert and specialist, it shows; as it did here. When a host takes pains to treat his customers as his guests, it shows; as it did here. A quiet dinner where we were well fed and treated like family. We experienced a certain, small form of perfection.

We wanted to eat suckling pig in Segovia and it was a great success, spectacular, extreme quality, everything very fresh and without going overboard with the price. The waiters were very attentive at all times, the cook and owner of the business came out to serve us when we left, very pleasant and attentive. They made us feel at home, resulting in a quality/price ratio of 10. In addition to the roast suckling pig, they have some delicious meats and fish and, let's not talk about the rice with lobster that was eye-catching. A place to always return to.
